Out of all the emotions that can choke and kill your progress and VITALITY in life it is worry.
Worry is a subset of anxiety, or a feeling that something bad will happen to you in the future.
Which, if we are being honest is 100% true.
All of us are going to die someday, and there is nothing you can do to prevent it. That in and of itself is a freeing thing.
It reminds me in my Jr high wrestling days my coach would say something along the lines of “even if you lose, make sure he never wants to wrestle you ever again”
Put another way give life as much fight as you got.
No matter what life brings you, at some point it will no longer ever be your problem.
Let’s get into the list.
- You are going to die. As mentioned above no matter what you are dealing with right now, do you really think you will be on your deathbed thinking “ugh I wish I had paid those taxes on time!”
Any problem you are currently facing is in reality a very small blip on the screen.
Every person lying in a cemetery all had worries, stress, and anxiety as well! Look where it got them
This is another tip, go visit a cemetery or a funeral.
You will realize there is really only one problem in life and every day you are still breathing it is a good day.
2. MOVE your body. Worry is like a barnacle that you see on a rock in the ocean. It attaches to stagnant things. Have you ever noticed you are usually more at risk when you are lying in bed late at night? Or sitting on the couch?
Worry can attach itself to you like the parasite that it is, sucking out your life energy and giving you nothing in return.
So keep moving faster than it can.
Get outside, go for a walk, look out at the forest, hear the wind and movement in the trees.
EVERYTHING in nature is in movement. This is lifes natural state and it is a strategy that worry will not be able to keep up with.
3. Do something different. Many times we get worried or stressed because we are stuck in a rut. Going to the same job, doing the same things every day.
Go for a road trip. Buy a plane ticket to Mexico or Thailand. Even go for a challenging hike near you.
Very quickly when you are out and about your brain will be so much more worried about keeping you alive in this new situation it will not have tome to worry about some stupid bs a work or some family matter.
This is a close cousin of move your body but it is intentionally putting yourself in a new situation that will override your bodies stress mechanism because it is more worried about other things such as actually keeping you alive
Professional climber Alex Honnold alluded to this in an interview when he said “what is everyone so worried about? Put yourself in a life or death situation and you will see none of that other stuff actually matters”
4. Go work out. And not just because it gets you moving. Going to the gym will teach you that you have the strength and stamina to CONTROL your situation.
As a big strong dude you will have alot more power to deal with your problems than some skinny wimp.
GET BIG and STRONG. You are a grown ass man and taking control over this will help you in more ways than one.
5. Call, text, or hangout with a loved one. Sometimes we get so caught up in our own heads we forget that everyone else is going through the same things.
EVERYBODY ELSE is worried. And I don’t know about you but I like focusing on and helping other people solve their problems. It helps all of us forget about our own for a while.
This is another point worth mentioning. You are not the only person on the planet.
6. Realize no one actually cares. I’m sure your problems and stress feel important to you right now. But realize that aside from you, literally no one cares.
Everyone is so focused on themselves and their own issues they do not have time for yours.
Many will read those words and despair but I think it is a superpower. When you finally see this for what it is it is incredibly freeing.
After all many of our worries are really directed at problems that would somehow affect how others think about us.
In Napoleon Hill’s masterpiece Think and Grow Rich” he listed out the 6 fears of life which most of them revolve around death (old age, loss of love, death) or a loss in status (poverty, criticism, ill health)
As we can see most of those are really a reflection of our worry of what others will think about us.
We think people care how much money is in our checking account, what house we live in, or the car we drive but no one does!
Even for you, when was the last time you woke up and thought about someone else and the stuff they have?
Almost never (until it flashes across the screen of Instagram on your phone)
This leads us to the next point.
7. Don’t take anything personally. This one is straight out of Don Miguel Ruiz’s book The 4 agreements” but I think it is especially relevant with todays social media craze.
Every time we scroll, we see someone else’s life and we compare our to theirs. Even if what we see is completely fake or incredibly cherry picked we still beat ourselves up and worry we are not doing the right things.
We worry our friends are overtaking us and that we need to do MORE.
We put a label and a bias on everything we see feeling that everyone is looking at us and that we need to compare ourselves to everyone else.
Not so. Remember, no one actually cares about you or your problems. Anything you see on social media has nothing to do with you. That car the 16 year old has is probably his parents, or the watch you see someone has might be fake, but even if its not, you are on your own joureny.
Focus on providing more value to this world, conquer your own business and life and everything else will fall away.
8. Read and listen to great stories. There have been many other courageous men that have come before you and I in life.
Ernest Shackleton comes to mind where him and his crew were trapped in the Antarctic Ice for 15 months before making it to safety.
The Bible also has many great stories. David and Goliath, Jonah, Job. All men who had many problems and challenges and all saw them through.
You are not the first man to experience worry and “supposed” hardship. In fact in 2025 and beyond we live in one of the best times to be alive in history.
You can make money on the internet or with your own business and travel the world.
All of our worries and problems of today our ancestors would laugh at us at how silly many of them are.
“Oh you have food, water, shelter, AND no one is trying to invade your country to kill you? Amazing!”
9. Turn off the news. The news exists to spread fear. It is an extremely negative drain on the energy of so many people it is a wonder people still watch that crap.
But it’s like a bad car crash, driving past you can’t help but look.
This also goes for social media. Most of our algorithms are so good all you usually need to do is unfollow all negative people or influences you see.
I don’t care if it’s your sister in law or your friends dog, if someone out there is spreading bad energy that gets you down, stressed or worried, ruthlessly reject it.
Unfollow. Block. And only focus on the positives in life.
10. Pray and meditate daily. Recently I have been picking up my Bible more and more and every time I do I feel a calm wash over me.
Faith is perhaps the most important point on this list.
If you find yourself worried, it’s because you don’t have enough faith that everything is going to be just fine. After all, up until this point you have correctly solved every single problem and God has helped guide you through it.
After all Isaiah 41:10, “Do not fear, for I am with you”
Another of my favorites;
Matthew 6:25-26 (NIV):
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”
That is a good point to leave this article.
Read this whenever you feel life weighing on you. Take all those worries and fears and throw them off of you. Imagine each worry like a brick and throw it off of the nearest bridge.
You got this my friend.
Until next time,
Your man – Spencer Claeys

Yessir, you’re very welcome my friend 💪
Great article Spencer! You are the man! Beautiful words of wisdoms. Glad I am apart of the team! Can’t wait to get officially started in my own next month. Free from my 9-5 job. I’m going all in on this, no looking back. Yes I’m scared, yes I’m worried, but like you said faith is strong and overpowers any forms of fear. Everything is going to be okay. This is going to be the best decision of my life! I FEEL IT!
Glad to have you here bro!
