How To Make Money

How to Make Money

Arguably the most important question man has ever pondered.

Something every man must learn and master.

In its essence, money is power. Money is value.

All we need to do is figure out what people value, what people need, and what people want.

As newfound business owners, entrepreneurs, and marketers our job is never to try to create demand. Our only job is to channel an existing demand.

As such your business should never sell stuff that people don’t want or need to buy.

You can have the best product or service but if no one wants to buy it you’re wasting precious time.

Meanwhile, some of the shittiest products but ones that focus and channel an existing desire can sell mind-bogglingly well.

The fact is you don’t have to be a genius, or even that smart to make money.

Any idiot can do it.

In fact, many smart people cannot figure out the simple equation of exchanging any goods and services that people will pay for money.

In reality, making money goes against everything we were ever taught in school, and in school, it was always the ‘smart’ people who checked the right boxes and went the best with what they were told to do.

It’s people like you and me who were never the smartest kids in class that have really started to figure out how to break the mold.

You will never make real money from a job.

You MUST make money for yourself.

Unless your job pays you very very well (usually meaning you went to school for many years), or is commission-based (sales-related) you are in essence making money for other people. But this is ok for now. We have all done it, sometimes I still do it too.

But our burning desire should be to break free and make money just for ourselves through our business.

Back to channeling a desire, or demand for a product. Must be supply and demand in place for you to be able to enter the market.

By all means if you have some groundbreaking invention, go for it. But this is more like playing the lottery.

Most rich people have gotten rich from doing a few things extremely well. It’s incredibly rare to create a business like Microsoft, Facebook, Apple, or Google. That’s not our goal, yet.

Our goal is to make money TODAY. And this means we need to sell something NOW.

In my life it wasn’t until I learned that I could sell services, like window cleaning, house cleaning, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, painting, landscaping, or roof cleanings that I started to get the hang of the whole money thing.

If you go into your local neighborhood RIGHT NOW you can knock on every single door there and ask them what they need.

This isn’t the most fun, or comfortable thing to do in the world. But making money isn’t easy: YET.

For now, we still do have to trade our time for money (much more money than a job) in order to acquire the skills and tools we need to move on to the next level.

Doing the above jobs will teach you that instead of making money based on the hours you work, you get paid based on the result you provide. No one cares how long it takes you. If you had a magic wand that could paint someone’s house in a split second you could still charge thousands of dollars because that would plainly just be incredible.

Do good work. Charge good prices. For most home service jobs listed above it is not uncommon to make $40-100+ per hour after you break down the numbers.

This is my number one suggestion to you. If you are broke, start providing services to people. It should not be possible for you to be broke, AND bored. Bust your ass and do the best work you can do and you will make money.

Everyone respects a working man.

You will feel proud, strong, and like a man.

Some days I walk home with over $1,000 cash and nothing makes me smile bigger.

I already know your next question.

What about drop shipping? What about selling stuff online?

Forget about that for now.

I’ve done it many times in the past but the problem with selling products is you need inventory, branding, or a differentiating product- preferably all of those, and all take MONEY.

If you want to sell stuff online, great, but make some other money first.

In order to compete with anyone around the world who has a computer, you will need capital.

Not necessarily $10,000 or $50k but you will need daily cash flow from your other business to fund the selling of your products.

For now, focus on providing what people will pay you for in a local market.

In your town, I’m sure there are big players in all those above job types.

But at most, what, 12 other business competitors?? I’ll take my chances competing against a few others rather than the millions of people trying to run an online fitness business or dropshipping shitty products from China.

Make your money, take that money and then you can use it to do whatever you want. Including crushing any dropshipping or fitness business you want.

Having money is crucial. Get money first. The rest will come along the way.

You have my permission to get after it and

-Spencer
