How to start your business and follow your mission in life

So you want to start your own business?

Be able to wake up when you want, work when you want, and make as much money as you want?

Great choice.

As a young man, few things are better than having the independence and freedom that starting a business can bring you.

Your entire life you’ve been told what to do and your head filled with horse shit inside the public school system.

Well, all that goes out the window today.

If you want to go to college and follow the path for “normal” people thats fine. I did it and it wasn’t until I finished that stuff I realized what a joke it all was. That’s what it took for me to “wake up” to the idea of starting my own business.

To each their own.

But if you’re reading this there’s a good chance you’ve already come to that realization and there’s no turning back.

For you, you KNOW that freedom is possible and you’re willing to do anything to get it.

So let’s get started.

The first thing to be aware of is that freedom comes with a price, or rather the lack of a price.

Freedom is the opposite of security.

They exist on a spectrum.

If you want to be free you have to realize you are forever sacrificing the illusion of safety and security that a 9-5 brings you.

As you’ve probably seen, there is nothing secure about a job. You can get fired, your company can go under, you can get hit by a bus crossing the street.

NOTHING in life is 100% secure and risk-free.

That’s life my friend.

No matter how desperately we all seek comfort and safety, that is all an illusion that has been told to us by our parents and teachers.

One time I had a professor at my college in business school who said the only reason he was teaching was because he lost everything in the 2008 housing crash.

And I’m supposed to take his advice? Don’t make me laugh.

Not to mention all the teachers with their Phds in liberal arts or philosophy who’ve spent 10 years in school, never had a business and never will.

It’s lunacy.

I learned more in 6 months of running my own business than in my entire 4.5 year business degree.

But hey, you’ve probably heard all that before. I won’t go too hard on the colleges and professors.

They believe their own bullshit. And they need you to believe it too so no one wakes up and sees how sad it is.

It’s sad to need a degree in order to feel like your life now has worth.

It’s sad that we need to have a piece of paper that now makes you qualified to start a business.

But the system needs these things.

They do not want millions of young men like you and me running around because we’re much harder to control. Anyone can control a professor or even a doctor.

Simply tell them “Say this, do this or we take that piece of paper you worked so hard for away”.

I’ve been in many of those situations working jobs and as Victor Pride said “I sold little pieces of my soul one at a time”.

Working at a job kills your soul if you are the type of man like me and perhaps like you too.

It’s not that everyone should be a creative entrepreneur and start their own business and ‘lead the charge’. Absolutely not.

But if that’s you, deep down you know it to be true.

That is what this blog and this message is for.

To wake up and empower the men who know they need to do this.

Not ‘want to’. Not ‘maybe some day’. Not ‘I’d love to make some extra money with a side hustle!’

Those that have to.

Through some combination of inner demons, fate or circumstance you and me are different.

We must do this or, quite literally die.

I died a little bit every day I wasn’t following my mission and my purpose in life. I didn’t even know it at the time but once I woke up to that fact I instantly went all in.

I went out and bought the tools and equipment and immediately started knocking doors, talking to anyone who would listen.

Determined above all else to make it succeed.

I wasn’t spending hours asking questions, desperately avoiding action and seeking permission.

I went out and grabbed it, as you must do to.

No one on this earth is going to give you permission to do what you know you need to do.

Only you can do that my friend.

Everything will be figured out once you start fulfilling your destiny. I know that sounds dramatic, but trust me, nothing could be more serious and more true.

Do what you know you need to do.

Perhaps I will see you along the path up the mountain.

Until then,

I will see you in the next article.

God speed.
