Entitlement is the enemy of greatness

There is a deadly plague sweeping this Earth.

Worse than any physical ailment.

This plague affects the mind.

Typically the minds of people who live in well-off Western countries.

People with smartphones. Wifi. Running water. Food. Half a million-dollar houses.

Yet it is not enough.

Nothing is ever enough for the entitled.

Those who believe that life ‘owes’ them something.

That being handed money or something is going to fix all their problems, or even worse, make them “happy”.

Recently, I posted a video where I was talking about one of the easiest jobs you can do is to clean gutters. Gutter cleaning has made me tens of thousands of dollars and very often makes me over $200 per hour.

But of course, some entitled Nancy in the comments states that “no the easiest job is being born rich and then getting all the money when your family dies”.

Wow, I must have never thought of that! What a great mentality to have!

I get comments like this all the time, but what gets me is that that comment had almost 100 likes and several comments agreeing with this lunatic.

And even though I may be preaching to the choir here, if you somehow think that being handed anything is going to make you happy or fulfilled, I got news for you.

Nothing in this life will make you happy except the things you work for.

The stuff you earn.

That is what makes it valuable.

Somehow this has escaped many of the minds of these younger generations.

Even if you somehow were handed all of the money in the world, yes maybe having it would be fun for the first part, but eventually, it would become a drain on you and it would rob you of your happiness.

Look into the eyes of anyone who has inherited money or has a ‘trust fund’. These folks are desperately trying to fill a void inside of themselves because they have no purpose. No mission. Nothing to work for.

No amount of drugs, alcohol, designer clothes, or traveling to Italy will fill that pit inside of them.

A man without a purpose is a dead man and I mean that quite literally.

Your soul needs a purpose and needs a mission to achieve.

Otherwise, why are you here?

Who will remember you when you die?

What will people say at your funeral?

Oh he was cool, he didn’t really do much or contribute to society but he was fun at parties!”

Fuck that. Give me all the purpose in the world. The true reward (money) only comes only as a result of doing great work.

That is why I’m here, and that is why you’re here my friend. To do great things.

Not sit around and wait to be handed anything in this life like the sad losers in my comment section.

Let them wallow in their own entitled fantasies.

You and I have work to do.

Let’s go!

Until next time,

Your man – Spencer Claeys
